The one mold

July 10, 2008 · Comments Off

Innovation in casting: instead of using a mold for each part, in this serie of tableware all forms come out of one flexible mold. It’s possible to create a matrix of forms, that can be combined into new sets of tableware. Plastic, but sophisticated.

Domestic Landscape

July 8, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Domestic Landscape is a project based on nature landscapes in which people built a house, and another one, and another one, until nature is fully being taken over by buildings. Like a virus spreading itself. This concept lead to designs that take place on two floors in a building:
-the upholstery of a chair going into the floor to become a curtain on the floor below
-the upholstery of a chair becoming a carpet to drip onto the floor below to become another sitting object.

Martin

Chair inspired by the work of Martin Margiela. A new life is given to an old chair by deconstructing, putting the parts together in a different way and adding lace and a glass plate. Beautiful details that used to be hidden from the eye appear as decorative elements.
